Corporate Social Responsibility

Ricoh, aiming at harmonizing with society and earning its trust, established the Ricoh Group CSR Charter and Ricoh Group Code of Conduct, to lay down common values and behavioral principles to share globally among all Ricoh employees.
The ‘Ricoh CSR Charter’, adopted across the Group, looks at four distinct areas of activities:

  • Integrity in Corporate Activities
  • Harmony with the Environment
  • Respect for People
  • Harmony with Society

The goal defined in Ricoh’s management philosophy (1986) is: "To be a good global corporate citizen with reliability and appeal."

With this at the core of our CSR strategy. Ricoh Co. Ltd has won the Deming Prize in 1975 and the Japan Quality Award in 1999.

Ricoh Company, Ltd. was named one of the 2013 World's Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute again. Ricoh earned a coveted place on the list by outstanding achievements in corporate social responsibility and environmental area. This is the fifth year in a row.

Ricoh Hong Kong had assumed many social responsibilities as a way of expressing adherence to its Ricoh's corporate philosophy of "The Spirit of Three Loves: Love your neighbor, Love Your Country and Love Your Work." With the support from the management team, RHK has been active in supporting social service programs as well as sports and cultural events in the community.


Ricoh Group Supplier Code of Conduct

In January 2006, the Ricoh Group established the Ricoh Group Supplier Code of Conduct for our suppliers to make efforts to aim at a better society and global environment and sustainable development of society. All of our suppliers are required to comply with this code of conduct. The Supplier Code of Conduct includes clauses on human rights such as prevention of child labor and environmental conservation.
