HKFYG's The Rainbow Program

From September to October 2008, Ricoh sponsored the Hongkong Federation of Youth Groups' Youth Support Scheme to organize "The Rainbow Program". The objective is to lead 20 youths who were cautioned by the police for minor offences to participate in volunteer services targeted to the elderly, mentally handicapped and children with learning disabilities through regular visit together with Ricoh Volunteers. This plan is not only provide an opportunity to let the volunteers and youth to share their knowledge, it also let them to share their experience and learning at the final presentation and improve their confidence.

Ricoh supports the "Oxfam Trailwalker" fundraising event for last few years and many Ricoh staff join this event in voluntary basis. They encourage each other along the way, facing difficulty together to complete the 100km MacLehose Trail within a 48-hour time limit. This can help to build team spirit among the staff.

Over 100 members from the Ricoh Hong Kong's Volunteer team co-operated with Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service to deliver Chinese rice dumplings to over 100 elderly to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. This activity is brings ˇ§happinessˇ¨ to the community and especially, their concern for Hong Kongˇ¦s elderly.
