BEC's Green SCM Seminar (Jun 2)

In June 2, 2010, Toshiki Fujino, Assistant General Manager of the Social Environment Department, Ricoh China Co., Ltd. (RCN) presented Ricoh China's TGOS activity at the Green Supply Chain Management Forum organized by the Business Environmental Council (BEC).

BEC is the longest running independent, non-profit organization in Hong Kong promoting corporate social and environmental responsibility. Mr. Fujino introduced "Green SCM activity in China factories and TGOS" to the audience that comprised of representatives of many of Hong Kong's major companies. Most of these companies have operations in mainland China, so they are so interested in China's environmental legal requirements and how Ricoh managed to simultaneously reduce operational costs and its environmental burden in China.

Mr. Fujino also joined in a panel discussion with CEO's of some Hong Kong's major corporations and he presented Ricoh's TGOS activity, which focuses like an "Environmental Consultant" to customers. In China, Ricoh Group companies are active in four sectors: Development/Design, Procurement/Production, Sales/Service and Logistics. Mr. Fujino explained that improvements in each company's Environmental Management are introduced to customers as successes attributed to the "Environmental Consultant."
