2010 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World

Ricoh is the sixth consecutive year listed in the "Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World," known as the "Global 100."
Starting in 2005, Corporate Knights Inc. of Canada has selected the top 100 corporations in the world every year by highlighting global corporations which have been the most proactive in managing environmental, social and governance issues (ESG) integrated with financial data. The 2010 Global 100 was announced on January 27, timed to coincide with the opening day of the Annual General Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. Evaluation expanded to 3000 companies in 2010 from 1800 companies in 2009, and companies were selected from 24 countries.Ricoh stood out for the 6th consecutive year with particular emphasis on environmental management, while fifty percent of the 2009 companies remained on the list in 2010 and the total number of Japanese companies dropped to 5 from 15 in 2009.

CAPITAL Outstanding Green Excellence Awards 2009

Ricoh won the "CAPITAL Outstanding Green Excellence Awards 2009", organized by CAPITAL magazine to recognize for outstanding green policy and achieving corporate social responsibility through a variety of sustainable green initiatives. Ricoh is the only one in the document management products and solutions category to win this award.
Ricoh is committed to contribute to the development of a sustainable society and making significant environmental contributions on a global scale through the Total Green Office Solutions and products, which help business eliminate inefficiencies, reduce carbon footprint and adopt more sustainable business practices.
The winners were selected by an independent assessment panels including the magazine's editorial board and celebrities from the education, government and business sectors. The criterion of selection is based on the company's commitment to the environment, strategy and achievements.

Ricoh Hong Kong Limited was honoured by receiving the Prime Awards for Eco-Business 2007 organised by Prime Communications Limited. The award was a gesture to recognise Ricoh's support of eco-business and its commitment in carrying out its social responsibility as an enterprise. All award-receiving enterprises have been proactively implementing environmentally friendly measures, such as reducing waste, saving energy and recycling products. Eco-businesses must increase the awareness of their staff with respect to caring for the environment, satisfying customer needs and receiving widespread recognition from the community. They should also work towards enhancing productivity efficiency to achieve cost effectiveness and to establish a positive enterprise image.
Ricoh has always regarded environmental conservation as an essential element in its business development. It started promoting environmentally friendly practices many years ago. In 2001, Ricoh Hong Kong was the first company in the industry to receive the ISO14001 Environment Management Systems and Standards certification. Moreover, Ricoh offers to its customers recollection service for used cartridges and toners to recycle and reduce waste, free of charge. Almost all Ricoh products have obtained an Energy Label from the Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), meaning that Ricoh products meet the energy efficiency requirements set by EMSD and are reliable for consumers.
Mr. Aaron Yim, Managing Director of Ricoh Hong Kong Limited, was invited to attend the presentation ceremony for the Prime Awards for Eco-Business 2007 on 26 April. Mr. Yim pointed out that Ricoh made its best efforts in reducing environmental pollution and resource wastage in the process of producing its products, from the stages of development, design, marketing and promotion, to after-sale product intake for recycling. In the future, Ricoh will continue to actively perform eco-business functions and participate in various eco-activities in the community.
During the award ceremony, Mr. Yim exchanged and shared his insights on eco-business with representatives of other award-receiving enterprises, such as CLP Group, Hongkong Electric Co. Ltd., Maxim's Group, McDonalds Restaurants (H.K.) Ltd. and Sun Hung Kai Properties.

Ricoh Hong Kong Limited (RHK) entered the Hong Kong Eco-Business
Award 2002 and was awarded Merit Prize in the Green Office Award
(Large Organisations) category. This award aims to honour businesses
in Hong Kong that have demonstrated a commitment to environmental
management and to educate organisations regarding the benefits of
environmental protection. The award is jointly organised the Environmental
Campaign Committee, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the
Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Productivity
Council.
RICOH wins WEC GOLD MEDAL

Tokyo, January 13, 2003. Ricoh, a global leader in digital office equipment, has been awarded the 19th annual WEC Gold Medal for International Achievement in Sustainable Development. The prestigious WEC Gold Medal is awarded by an independent Jury of distinguished international environmentalists to a corporation that demonstrates preeminent leadership and contributes to worldwide environmental quality. This marks the first time that a company from Asia has been honoured with the medal.
